YouTube Revenue Calculator

Views are not dollars. Estimate what a faceless channel's views might actually pay — with the honest warnings attached.

Please enter valid numbers: monthly views of 0 or more and an RPM above $0.

Estimated monthly revenue—
Low end (RPM −50%)—
High end (RPM +50%)—
Read this before you dream: most new channels earn $0 for the first 3–6 months. RPM varies wildly by niche and viewer country, and views alone don't pay — you must qualify for monetization first (YouTube Partner Program, TikTok Creator Rewards). Treat any number above as a best-case guess, not a promise.

Estimates only — educational, not financial advice. The range simply runs your views × RPM at −50% and +50%, because real RPM swings that much. Affiliate links and your own products usually pay faceless creators more than ads do.

About this tool

What this youtube revenue calculator does

This YouTube revenue calculator estimates what a faceless channel — one where you never appear on camera — might earn from its views. You give it monthly views and a content type, and it applies an RPM (revenue per thousand views) to produce a range rather than a single seductive number, because real RPM swings wildly with niche, video length, and viewer country. Shorts and TikTok views pay a fraction of what long-form YouTube views pay, so the calculator treats them very differently.

A quick example

Run the defaults — 100,000 monthly views as Shorts at a $0.07 RPM — and the estimate lands between about $3.50 and $10.50 a month. Now switch the same 100,000 views to long-form at a $4 RPM and the range becomes roughly $200 to $600. Same views, wildly different money. That gap, not the view count, is what should drive your format decisions.

How to use it — 3 steps

  1. Enter the monthly views you expect — or the views you already get, if the channel exists.
  2. Choose Shorts / TikTok or long-form YouTube. This one choice changes the typical RPM by a hundred times or more.
  3. Adjust the RPM if you know your niche's range, then read the low-to-high monthly revenue estimate.

Who it is for

New and aspiring faceless creators planning a channel before they commit months to it, and anyone who has seen a screenshot claiming huge money from views and wants the honest version. It is also useful for comparing formats: the same effort spent on long-form versus Shorts produces very different revenue ranges, and seeing both numbers side by side settles a lot of arguments.

Honest limitations

Most new channels earn $0 for their first three to six months, and no view pays anything until the channel qualifies for monetization — views alone do not pay. Sponsorships, affiliate links, and your own products often earn faceless creators more than ads do, and none of that is included here. Treat every number as a best-case guess, not a promise. Estimates only — not financial advice.

FAQ

YouTube Revenue Calculator — common questions

How much does a faceless YouTube or TikTok channel earn per view?

It varies wildly by niche and viewer country. Shorts and TikTok RPM is often around $0.03–$0.10 per 1,000 views; long-form YouTube can be $2–$8 or more in strong niches. Most new channels earn $0 for the first 3–6 months, and views alone do not pay — you must qualify for monetization first.

What RPM should I use for my niche?

When in doubt, estimate with the low end — being pleasantly surprised beats budgeting on a fantasy. Finance and business long-form content sits at the top of the range; entertainment and Shorts in any niche sit near the bottom.

Do Shorts and long-form videos pay differently?

Yes, dramatically. A million Shorts views might pay tens of dollars, while a million long-form views in a strong niche can pay thousands. That is why the calculator asks for your content type before doing any math.

When does YouTube actually start paying?

Only after a channel joins the YouTube Partner Program — 1,000 subscribers plus 4,000 watch hours in 12 months, or 10 million Shorts views in 90 days — and passes review. Until then, ad revenue is $0 no matter how large the view counts look.
